I have an overwhelming urge to share some recent experiences which have left a deep and lasting impression on me.  Being involved in the real estate market as both a salesperson and property management in Wanaka with Proppy.co.nz I work with vendors, buyers, landlords and tenants.  I have met some amazing individuals from all walks of life over the past year and I love that I live in this beautiful part of the country.  It would be easy to believe that everyone has wealth and good health, given some of the eye watering house prices reached in recent times and the climbing rental prices. 

As a member of the Aspiring Rotary group I have had the privilege to assist Food for Love by delivering freshly prepared food to the less mobile members of the Wanaka ward community and they are so eternally grateful.  I delivered gorgeous picnic packages to a beautiful group of elderly and mobility impaired people living in our community, many of them living on their own and I am very humbled.  I took the time to stop and chat and I gained a real insight into the history of where we live and the people who have helped shape this community.

I love that I can volunteer my time to contribute to this wonderful place I call home.  It is easy to lose sight of what really matters , especially with the challenges of the last two years, but what is important is to look after this wonderful community - lend a hand, volunteer, knit a blanket, take time out or just listen.    You will be so glad you did.
